About Me

Meet Erin Krebs, a passionate educator and adventure seeker with over 17 years of teaching experience across diverse educational settings—from general education classrooms to special education (co-teaching, resource, and self-contained models) positions. My career has taken me around the globe, with teaching positions in New Zealand, China, Indiana, Georgia, Nevada, South Carolina, and Arizona.

My Travel Teaching Journey

After a year of research and curiosity, I have taken the leap into travel teaching with Aya Education and just completed my first year—and I couldn’t be happier! My journey recently included assignments in South Carolina and Arizona, and I’m thrilled to be staying with my Arizona district for the upcoming school year. This experience has been transformative, both professionally and personally.

Beyond the Classroom

When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me exploring the great outdoors with my dogs, hiking scenic trails, kayaking, paddleboarding, or getting lost in a good book. I’m on a mission to visit every U.S. National Park—so far, I’ve checked off 11: Congaree, Everglades, Gateway Arch, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Mammoth Cave, Petrified Forest, Redwood, Saguaro, Yellowstone, and Zion. I have 3 dogs who are on the road with me. Two of them (Midnight and Daisy) love travel and adventure. Maggie (Margaret Thatcher) is not a fan of adventures but she’s adjusting!

Why This Blog?

When I started researching travel teaching two years ago, I had so many questions and found very little information out there. I’m creating this space to inspire and inform teachers considering this incredible opportunity. Whether you’re curious about how travel teaching works, what to expect, or how to get started—I’m here to share my story and help you explore this rewarding path.
